Volodymyr Zelenskiy the Ukrainian President wishes to speak with Donald Trump during the Vatican engagement on Saturday when numerous world leaders will be present for Pope Francis's funeral ceremonies. Trump issued a warning about Ukraine negotiations that streamlines the response deadline because of his unwillingness to continue unless conditions develop efficiently. During his Kyiv address on Tuesday Zelenskiy explained his staff's readiness to negotiate both complete and partial ceasefires with Ukraine's international allies during London meetings. Zelenskiy further claimed that Russia extended talks deliberately to observe how steadfast the United States was during this period.
“Russia’s leadership would have to agree to an unconditional ceasefire before Ukraine was ready to start any negotiations with them; I think they’re afraid of direct talks. Maybe they indeed are afraid that the Americans will leave the negotiations,” Zelenskiy said
The US proposed Russia-Ukraine ceasefire plans would be discussed at a Tuesday meeting in London after the Paris sessions took place. Numerous reports indicate that the US plans to lift sanctions against Russia while accepting its claim to Crimea through a potential peace agreement. This upcoming visit will bring Russian envoy Steven Witkoff to Russia during the week despite State Secretary Marco Rubio's absence from the meeting. Authorities from France Germany the UK and Ukraine were planned to participate in the London talks. Russian aerial assault through drones resulted in fatal injuries to one person among more than 50 wounded casualties when drones bombed Zaporizhzhia Odesa and Kharkiv on Tuesday. Ukrainian president Zelenskiy announced that US and Ukrainian attorneys are finishing a natural resource contract which needs Ukraine's Parliament approval.
The Ukrainian leader added that he was not aware of “any other steps on finalization” of the deal, a longstanding demand of Trump.
