Mexico’s government has opened an investigation into Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard after questions emerged about his son’s stay at a diplomatic residence in the United Kingdom during Ebrard’s time as foreign minister.

The inquiry follows reports that Ebrard’s adult son lived for several months at the Mexican ambassador’s residence in London between 2021 and 2022.
