Clinton Says Trump Spoke of "Great Times" with Jeffrey Epstein

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton said in a deposition that Donald Trump once told him they had “some great times” with Jeffrey Epstein, according to testimony released by congressional investigators.

Clinton said the comment was made in the early 2000s at a golf tournament, after he had left office and before Trump entered politics. He testified that Trump referred to a past relationship with Epstein and said they later fell out over a real estate dispute.

Trump has previously acknowledged knowing Epstein during that period but has said their relationship ended years before Epstein’s sex trafficking charges intensified. Both men have denied knowledge of or involvement in Epstein’s criminal conduct.

Epstein, a financier with connections to political and business leaders, was arrested in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges and later died in a New York jail cell in what authorities ruled a jail death by suicide. His case led to renewed scrutiny of prominent figures who had past associations with him.

In his testimony, Clinton said his interactions with Jeffrey Epstein were tied to philanthropic work after his presidency. He confirmed that he flew on Epstein’s private jet several times for trips connected to the Clinton Foundation in Africa, Asia and Europe. Clinton said staff and security personnel were present on those trips and denied visiting Epstein’s private island.

Clinton also addressed an incident in which he received a neck massage from a flight attendant during a flight. He said he was unaware at the time that she would later accuse Epstein of abuse and stated he had no knowledge of Epstein’s alleged crimes.

The deposition forms part of a broader congressional investigation into Epstein’s network and his connections with public figures. Clinton reiterated that he cut ties with Epstein in the mid-2000s and was not aware of any misconduct during their contact.
