By Global Leaders Insights Team | Dec 09, 2024
Ranjit Babu, Amazon India’s Head of Consumer Electronics, has resigned, according to reports. His departure comes amid a wave of senior-level exits and restructuring within the e-commerce giant’s India operations. “He has resigned and is moving on,” said a source. In October, Manish Tiwary, the former country head of Amazon India, also left, raising concerns about the company’s performance in key markets and its competition with Flipkart. Industry insiders suggest that Amazon has been losing market share in the core e-commerce space, with the launch of an offering codenamed Tex expected in January 2024.
