PM Modi at SOUL Conclave: We need Resources to Drive Innovation and Skills

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the inaugural edition of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) Leadership Conclave at Bharat Mandapam on Friday, accompanied by Bhutan's Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, ”Skills play a crucial role in every field, which is why the field of leadership development also requires new skills. In the 21st century, we need resources that can drive innovation and channelise skills. The School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) will shape leaders who excel nationally and globally.”
He stated that India is rising as a global powerhouse and emphasized that the forum is an excellent platform to cultivate future leaders.
”Today, every Indian is working day and night for a developed India in the 21st century, and that is why we need the best possible leadership in every sector,” he pointed out.
Prime Minister Modi said, “The development of citizens is very important for nation building…The development of leaders in various fields is very important…The establishment of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) is an important step towards the journey of ‘Viksit Bharat’…Very shortly, the large campus of the School of Ultimate Leadership (SOUL) will be ready…”
In his address, Bhutan PM Tobgay said, “I want to make it clear from the very beginning that I have no lessons about leadership, I am hardly qualified for it, I have come here as a student…This is an ideal opportunity because I will be learning about leadership from the greatest leader of the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi…PM Modi Ji, I see in you the image of an elder brother, who always guides and helps me…”
”Prime Minister, my elder brother, you have put India on the path of progress in just 10 years with your wisdom, courage and compassionate leadership…,” he stated.
Tshering Tobgay landed in New Delhi on Thursday, where he was welcomed by minister of state for external affairs Pabitra Margherita. This participation in the SOUL Leadership Conclave marks one of the major milestones in India-Bhutan relations, standing testimony to the strong diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
The two-day SOUL Leadership Conclave from February 21 to 22 provides an arena for eminent leaders to gather from diverse sectors such as politics, sports, arts and media, spirituality, public policy, business, and the social sector.
The purpose of the conclave is to prepare the ground for glorified people to share their history of leadership, containing both light and dark moments to inspire young minds.
According to the Prime Minister's Office, this event will create an atmosphere of cooperation, mentorship, and thought leadership.
