Paul and Ringo Reunite for a London Performance

Sir Paul McCartney has graced his performance in London's O2 Arena with his former Beatles band member Sir Ringo Starr. The crowd roared and thunder-clapped to a warm welcome as the two began their show with the classic hit "Helter Skelter" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."

"I have had a really tremendous night, and I literally love you all," is what Sir Ringo said as he walked off the stage afterward.

The last show on Thursday was witnessed through Sir Paul's Got Back tour that made stops in France, Spain and Brazil. That night had not only Sir Ringo as its featured guest.

Sir Paul also welcomed Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood who joined him on stage to perform "Get Back," during which Sir Paul played his original Hofner 500/1 bass guitar, originally stolen in 1972, for the first time in more than 50 years.

Earlier this year, however, Sir Paul was reunited with the instrument. Sir Paul and Sir Ringo are the last surviving core members of The Beatles, having performed together several times since the band's disbandment in 1969. This includes appearances at Sir Ringo's 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and during Sir Paul's 2019 Freshen Up tour.

Sir Paul is known for giving concerts spectacularly laced with the hits of his extensive musical career, whether while in Wings or on his solo albums. Thursday night was no different, holding almost 40 songs with many instruments.

Other highlights of the performance would include the rendition of "In Spite Of All the Danger," the first song recorded by Sir Paul's first band, The Quarrymen, which had within it the late John Lennon and George Harrison. He was also joined by a children's choir for the liturgical performance of his holiday classic, "Wonderful Christmastime."
