In his new role, Hellemons will be responsible for New Relic’s entire global revenue strategy. He will report directly to CEO Ashan Willy.
Most recently, Hellemons served as Chief Revenue Officer at Darktrace, a well-known AI cybersecurity company. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, and VMware. Across these roles, he helped large enterprises modernize their operations and built sales organizations that consistently delivered strong results.
“As AI reshapes how software is built and run, strong observability has become essential for every modern business,” said New Relic CEO Ashan Willy. “Hein is a top-tier revenue leader who knows how to guide companies through periods of big growth and change. His expertise in scaling global teams will be invaluable as we grow our platform and serve more customers. We’re thrilled to welcome him aboard.”
Hellemons said he was drawn to the opportunity. “New Relic stood out to me because of its huge potential in the market, its excellent platform, strong brand, and talented team,” he noted. “The company is in a great position to help organizations succeed in the AI era, and I’m excited to work with Ashan and the rest of the leadership group.”
Setting the Stage for Expansion in the AI Era
New Relic’s platform combines telemetry data with business insights and uses AI to help teams shift from putting out fires to making smarter, proactive decisions. It helps companies control costs and protect revenue in real time. Major organizations including Adidas Runtastic, Domino’s, Ryanair, Swiggy, Topgolf, and William Hill already rely on New Relic to innovate and deliver great customer experiences.
Hellemons will now focus on building high-performing teams and creating a strong culture of execution. His leadership arrives as more enterprises adopt AI, increasing the need for reliable observability solutions.
Industry observers consider the timing excellent. With his proven track record of revenue growth at major tech firms, Hellemons is well placed to help New Relic navigate competition and seize new opportunities. He is expected to strengthen partnerships and refine go-to-market strategies for sustained success.
