Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav Continued his Japan Visit

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav continued his diplomatic visit to Japan, engaging with key officials and business leaders to bolster relations and attract investment to the state.
During his visit, he presided over a meeting with Hisashi Matsumoto, Parliamentary Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), in which they discussed the Indo-Pacific region and India's key role in it.
Hisashi Matsumoto underscored the significance of India when he said: "India is one of the important partners to realise a free and open Indo-Pacific concept. I would like to work to (use our strengths) and strengthen Indo-Japan relations." Reflecting upon the profile of Madhya Pradesh, Matsumoto remarked: "I just heard that the state of Madhya Pradesh is located in Central India and agriculture is thriving."
"A meeting was held with H.E. Hisashi Matsumoto, Parliamentary Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), in Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The discussion focused on the importance of Japan-India cooperation and strengthening ties at the state level," CM Mohan Yadav shared in a post on X.
In a separate meeting with Daiki Arai, Director of A&D Medical, CM Yadav's team presented Madhya Pradesh's potential to become a hub for medical device manufacturing. They highlighted, "India produces around 200 million yen worth of medical equipment annually." The team also outlined the state's infrastructure, noting, "There are 75 acres of land available for medical device manufacturing, supported by the Central Government's Pharmaceutical Ministry. The facility will include common testing and processing labs for medical devices, along with 3-D printing and prototyping, biomedical and biocompatibility testing, an incubation hub, skill development and training centers, tool rooms, and manufacturing units. Nearly all necessary testing facilities will be available."
In another meeting, CM Yadav engaged with Yuji Fukaswa, Chair of the South Asia Committee at Keidanren and Chairman of East Japan Railway Company, to deepen economic discussions and explore potential collaborations.
These high-level meetings highlight Madhya Pradesh's commitment to strengthening international partnerships and leveraging Japan's expertise across various sectors to fuel the state's development.
