Italian PM Arrives in Saudi Arabia for Official Visit

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni began her official visit to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Upon her arrival in Jeddah, the Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, along with other high-ranking officials, extended a warm welcome to the Italian PM and her delegation.

The official visit comes with an encouraging agreement signed by Saudi Arabia and Italy earlier this month to intensify energy cooperation.

On January 14, Saudi Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman held a meeting with Italian Minister of Energy and Environment Gilberto Pichetto Fratinon to sign the missive of the statement.

Essentially, the deal spotlights a feasible supply to Europe of Green hydrogen made in the kingdom.
