EY Sri Lanka Appoints Economist Talal Rafi as Business Consulting Director

EY Sri Lanka has appointed economist Talal Rafi as Director of Business Consulting. With his expertise in economic policy, public finance and ESG operations, Talal's appointment enhances EY Sri Lanka's focus on providing future-oriented solutions in a rapidly changing global environment.
Talal brings extensive experience, having served as a Consultant at the Asian Development Bank and a regular columnist for the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He is also a member of the World Economic Forum's Expert Network and has contributed to the Global ESG Operations Team at a prominent Big Four firm.In academic visiting lectures, Talal explains his field of specialization in the Centre for Banking Studies, Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Family members and friends-as well as professional organizations-such as the World Bank, USAID, and so on. He has also been awarded the Export Development Board of Sri Lanka's Advisory Committee. Apart from that, he was also a member of the Enterprise Operations Committee at Moratuwa University.
The leadership and impact of Talal go as far as his involvement with the Lakshman Kadirgamar Institute, which serves as Sri Lanka's government foreign policy think tank, where he was also part of its board. Talal was also appointed independent non-executive director on the board of Almas Holdings, one of the largest asset management firms in Sri Lanka.
Talal has taught leaders' features in global platforms, including NASDAQ Centre, S&P Global, and the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, and has had his work featured in notable institutions such as Forbes, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, World Economic Forum, among many others.
