Thomas Tuchel is set to watch his first round of club matches as England head coach this week, beginning with Tottenham's Premier League home game against Newcastle on Saturday.

This 51-year-old German manager took over the reins as the head of Three Lions in October after Gareth Southgate's resignation, and has begun functioning officially from January 1st.

Tuchel and his staff get ready for the commencement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying program for England, which opens on March 21 against Albania at Wembley.

Striker Dominic Solanke and midfielder James Maddison will probably be representing Spurs, while Lewis Hall and Anthony Gordon are likely to be part of the Newcastle squad.
Besides, Tuchel added goalkeeping coach Henrique Hilario and performance coach Nicolas Mayer to his backroom staff with analyst James Melbourne to take it further.

The trio will assume their responsibilities alongside Tuchel and newly appointed assistant coach Anthony Barry from October while collaborating with the current England senior staff.

Hilario from Portugal and Melbourne from England are both joining Tuchel from Chelsea, where they spent their year together at the Bridge during the 2021-22 season. Frenchman Mayer is coming in after spending years working with Tuchel at Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich.
