Varma Brings More Than 20 Years of HR Experience

Varma has spent more than two decades working in human resources and has held senior roles at several large international companies. Before joining Coda, she was the Chief People Officer at Yum Brands, where she worked on employee and organizational strategies.

She has also held senior HR positions at Visa and Credit Suisse. Her experience covers different industries and markets, giving her a background in managing talent management at large organizations.

At Coda, Varma will be responsible for the company’s global people and talent team. Her work will include hiring and developing employees, supporting company leaders and building people strategies as the business grows.

For a company operating across several countries, managing employees in different markets can be a major part of its growth plans. Coda’s decision to bring in an experienced people leader comes as it continues to expand its workforce and operations.

Varma’s experience at global companies could also help Coda develop its leadership development and talent programs as the company grows. Her role will involve working with teams across different regions and ensuring that its people strategy keeps pace with the company’s business plans.

Coda Makes Changes to Its Senior Leadership Team

Varma’s appointment is part of a wider change in Coda’s senior leadership team. The company recently appointed Freddy Dijkman as Chief Financial Officer, while former CFO Abhi Sharma moved into the role of Chief Operating Officer.

Coda operates in the digital commerce sector and provides payment and monetization services to digital businesses. Its customers include gaming publishers and other companies that sell digital products and content.

The company has also been expanding its partnerships in the digital economy. In September 2025, Coda partnered with Japan-based Digital Garage to help gaming publishers improve how they monetize their products outside their applications.

Coda’s business has grown alongside the wider digital economy, where companies are looking for easier ways to manage payments and reach customers in different markets. Its services are designed to help digital businesses manage transactions and generate revenue from their content.

The addition of Varma gives Coda a senior executive focused specifically on employee development and talent at a time when the company is expanding. Finding and retaining skilled employees has become an important challenge for technology companies operating across multiple countries.
