Ashish Chauhan, MD & CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), will offer his insights at the Rising Bharat Summit 2025, the fifth edition of CNN-News18's prestigious leadership conclave, set to take place in New Delhi on April 8-9.

A technocrat with degrees from IIT Bombay and IIM Calcutta, Chauhan is a founding member of the NSE and has played a key role in automating India's stock markets since 1992. He is credited with introducing screen-based trading, satellite telecom, the NIFTY Index, derivatives trading, and other major advancements in the Indian financial market. Often called the father of modern financial derivatives in India, his pioneering contributions have shaped the industry.

Before he returned to NSE in 2022, Chauhan was the CEO of the Bombay Stock Exchange for about a decade. His contribution in this time was to ensure that the 140-year-old institution is transformed into a modern, IT-driven, and professionally managed organization by introducing new systems, processes, and oversight mechanisms.
