Abdul Rahim Named Chief Maritime Strategy and Innovation Officer at Lila Global

Dr. Rahim's years of exemplary experience in this field is around thirty, having a solid track record of leadership and creativity. He was Corporate Officer and Managing Director for Europe and Africa at ClassNK before joining Lila Global, having held several important positions in Tokyo, Singapore, London, Mumbai, and Dubai. He was also Chairman of the NAPA Group in Finland, where he contributed to enhancing maritime safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

Dr. Rahim has been awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture and Shipbuilding awarded by Cochin University of Science and Technology, India and a Master's and a PhD degree in Ship Structures at Hiroshima University, Japan. He has also been a successful researcher, authoring more than 120 technical papers and racking up awards in the maritime industry such as the Joint RINA-SNAME-IMarEST Institute Branch Award in Singapore (2004), the Stanley Grey Medal in London (2005), the Maritime Personality of the Year Award in Dubai (2017) and the award for the Maritime Professional Excellence in London (2023).
