Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder and CEO of One97 Communications, spoke about Paytm's stock volatility at the ET NOW Global Business Summit 2025 on Sunday (February 16). In an interview with Nikunj Dalmia, Editor-in-Chief of ET NOW and ET NOW Swadesh, Sharma revealed that he treats Paytm like a daughter.

"I treat the company like a daughter. I am attached to Paytm in the same way that a parent cares and loves his daughter. "I don't see how this will protect or benefit me," he said.

He continued, "You always give something to your daughter, you do not take anything. If you notice, nothing has changed in my life." He said, "I had said earlier also, I will not take any shares or ESOP from my company until the market comes to the listing price of Paytm."
