SUSE Welcomes Margaret Dawson as New Chief Marketing Officer

SUSE, a top player in open and secure enterprise software solutions, has announced that Margaret Dawson is joining as its new Chief Marketing Officer. In her role, Dawson will lead the company's worldwide marketing efforts, helping to boost SUSE's visibility and fuel growth in the open source software world for big businesses.
Dawson brings more than 25 years of hands-on experience in tech marketing and product planning. She's worked in key positions at big names like Amazon, Microsoft, HP, and Red Hat.
Her most recent gig was as CMO at Chronosphere, where she ramped up the brand's recognition, got customers more involved, and helped grow revenue. She's got a strong history of building up tech companies and promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry. For her efforts, she's won awards like Business Role Model of the Year for Women in IT and was named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Seattle.

On top of Dawson's hire, SUSE is beefing up its sales and marketing team around the world. They've brought on Dongun Lee to lead in South Korea, Gen Watanabe for Japan, Kingsley Wood as head of solution architecture in North America, and Joao Pereira for the public sector in Brazil. Plus, Holger Pfister got promoted to VP for the DACH region (that's Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), thanks to his solid work strengthening SUSE's foothold in Europe.

SUSE powers more than 60% of Fortune 500 companies with its lineup of tools, including the SUSE Linux Suite, Rancher Suite for containers, Edge Suite for smart devices, and AI Suite for artificial intelligence. With Dawson at the helm of marketing, the company is set to keep pushing the boundaries of open source tech, from data centers to cloud setups.
