"For us, visas matter because we move people around globally—experts who get promoted to new jobs in different markets," he said. He stated that the United States should remain a desirable destination for immigrants. "The challenge is that the US still needs to remain an attractive destination."
The CEO of JPMorgan Chase stated that the $100,000 H-1B visa fee "caught everyone off guard, prompting concern across companies that rely on skilled workers".

"I believe it will eventually settle down. That caught everyone off guard, and we received a lot of phone calls over the weekend. What does this mean? And, from what I understand, this means new H-1B visas, and many H-1Bs travel there because they require the expertise. As a result, I'm confident that many people will approach the American government to explain why they believe in it. "I support merit-based immigration," he added.
